Not only are we improving our strongly developed courses, ranging from the classic Computer Engineering to our newest and brightest Applied AI & Analytics, we seek to introduce even more courses that turn our students into leaders.

We are dedicated to integrating digital literacy across all disciplines. Our goal is to ensure that every graduate is proficient in digital tools and technologies, capable of leveraging data analytics, cybersecurity, and digital marketing to drive innovation in their respective fields.

One step we have taken to approach closer to this goal is to include the module Artificial Intelligence and Its Impact into the Common Core Curriculum. Not only are we preparing students for the rise of AI and Industry 4.0, we explain the benefits - as well as the dangers - of utilising such powerful tools.

Global Engagement and Partnerships

To provide our students with a global perspective and enhance their employability in an increasingly interconnected world, SP is expanding our international collaborations and partnerships.

Exchange Programs

We aim to increase opportunities for student and faculty exchanges with top institutions around the world. These programs will allow our students to gain international exposure, broaden their cultural understanding, and build a global network of peers and professionals.

Outbound programs typically last 7-12 days and include a short language workshop and homestays with local families, offering firsthand cultural immersion. Inbound programs involve hosting foreign students, allowing SP students to engage with peers from different cultural backgrounds.

Employment Outcomes

SP graduates enjoy high employability rates. The 2023 Graduate Employment Survey reported that the employment rate for SP's Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering graduates was an impressive 95%, demonstrating the effectiveness of SP's industry-relevant education.

Sustainable Innovation Projects

Sustainability is a core focus at SP. The Polytechnic introduced the Sustainable Innovation Project (SIP) as part of its Common Core Curriculum. This initiative requires students to work on capstone projects addressing sustainability challenges, promoting a holistic approach to environmental issues.

Continuing Education and Training (CET)

SP has significantly expanded its CET offerings, providing nearly 82,000 places in recent years. This growth supports Singaporeans in building new skills and knowledge throughout their working lives. The emphasis on lifelong learning has positioned SP as a key player in Singapore's educational landscape.

Innovation and Industry Collaborations

SP established 28 co-location laboratories with prominent companies such as Ericsson and Singtel, providing cutting-edge equipment and technology for hands-on learning. These labs facilitate a symbiotic relationship, allowing SP to train students with industry-ready skills, particularly in the engineering sectors.
